We provide metal plating services for industrial parts, with more than 25 years of experience since 1996. We’re the only company in the region that combines plating, powder coating, and aluminum die casting in one place, with service on both sides of the US-Mexico border. We use top-tier current rectifiers for precise process control, ensuring consistent results in every batch.

Currently we can apply our finishes over the following substrates:
In addition to our 3 semiautomatic lines, we have 15 100% manual lines, which combined enable us to offer exceptional metal finishing services by producing a wide variety and high volume of parts at the same time, ensuring high quality and a fast turnaround service to all our customers. In many cases delivering finished parts more than once a day.

At Platinadora Baja, we apply a thin layer of metal onto a part to improve its corrosion resistance, conductivity, or final appearance. We perform this process at our plant in Tijuana for clients in the automotive, electronics, and general manufacturing industries, with the capacity to handle everything from individual parts to volume production.
At Platinadora Baja, we apply plating to protect parts against corrosion, wear, and chemical exposure, while also improving their electrical conductivity or final finish (glossy, satin, or in different colors, depending on your project’s needs). The specific combination of benefits depends on the base metal and the part’s end use — that’s why we evaluate which type of coating best fits your application with every quote.
Our plating processes are automatic and semi-automatic, designed to maintain consistency and quality across high volumes of parts without sacrificing durability — from small runs to continuous industrial production.
The process includes cleaning and degreasing the part, surface activation, applying the coating through electrolysis (nickel, zinc, copper, or gold, depending on your project’s needs), and a final sealing finish. Each batch is adjusted to match your part’s specifications and tolerances.
At Platinadora Baja, we plate steel and stainless steel using nickel, zinc, or chrome to protect it against corrosion and wear, while also improving its finish — one of the most requested processes at our plant, since steel is one of the most common base materials in industrial parts.
